What I'm Working On Right Now
I am a founding partner at Vega Ventures, a technology venture studio and innovation advisory firm that aims to bridge global tech solutions with GCC markets. We provide services to support the innovation ecosystem in creating sustainable, healthy futures.
I'm also the Innovation and Technology Team Lead at CANAR Holding Group, where I'm responsible for scouting and commercializing emerging digital and deep technology ventures and building new business lines within the Energy, Utilities, Climate, and Infrastructure domains. My work has also included launching innovation strategies, supporting technical due diligence for early-stage investments, overseeing new product development, and leading client pitches and partner negotiations.

What I've Done in the Past
During my tenure at the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, I managed research grants across diverse areas such as Industry 4.0, Sustainable Development, Health, and Policy. I played a crucial role in the COVID Emergency Resiliency Program and served on high-profile national committees designing and implementing capacity-building programs, services, and platforms. My efforts were centered around addressing gaps in the local innovation ecosystem and enabling a transition to a sustainable knowledge economy. I also spearheaded efforts aimed at enhancing Knowledge Dissemination, Tech Transfer, Data Sharing, and Agile Program Management.
My consultancy work has spanned technology and startup scouting, go-to-market strategy, corporate innovation, and social entrepreneurship enablement. I've also served in leadership and board positions in high-impact NGOs, organized and hosted training programs and ideathons, and moonlit as a graphic designer.
My academic background includes a Masters in Civil & Environmental Engineering and a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. My research has spanned a wide range of topics, including artificial intelligence, water scarcity, systems design, oil spill dispersants, process engineering, and decision science.
